Community Engagement and Donor Relations Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: Work with a team to effectively execute donor relations activities and logistical management for events, as well as other administrative tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop relationships with donors via internal means such as phone calls, letters, etc 
  • Support the Donor Development team by managing calendars, prepare documents, strategy planning for donor meetings, etc 
  • Write grant applications and manage an annual calendar for foundation grant opportunities 
  • Grow the volunteer base of Signal Hill by managing volunteers and identifying ways to engage more in the work of Signal Hill 
  • Effectively utilize the eTapestry donor database system and provide recommendations to staff for efficient use of the system 
  • Generate queries and reports from eTapestry as needed by the team 
  • Provide reporting and/or copies as needed of items maintained in the office or the office database 
  • Undertake all logistics needs for event planning 
  • Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational and planning skills 
  • Excellent reading, writing and general accounting skills 
  • Professional telephone demeanor 
  • Above average skills and abilities with eTapestry software program 
  • Solutions oriented and flexible in approach to workload and problem solving 
  • Excellent skills and abilities with Microsoft Word and Excel, including Mail Merge 
  • Ability to work with others as well as independently, in a changing environment 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 years experience in administration with a focus on donor relations and event planning
  • 3 years experience in eTapestry Donor Software
  • 3 years experience in technology support and problem solving
  • 3 years experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Salary commensurate with experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
